lockin it down

a few weeks ago we started looking, seriously, at rings. we had two picked out.

when we got back from visiting friends and family in cincinnati, we sat down and decided on one. then we ordered it and had it shipped to my work.

it showed up on thursday the 8th.
i knew what it was. it sat on my desk all day- staring at me.

and then i got to take it home and give the box to luke right before i had to run out the door to class. we made plans to go to dinner that night.

on my way home from class, luke texted me. <3

i pulled up to the house and he was sitting on the front step, waiting. we walked inside and he grabbed the ring box. he got down on one knee, said some very sweet things and asked me to marry him. in our dining room, with the floor half torn up.

it was perfect.

i sent this picture out in a few texts in emails. apparently it wasn't all that clear what was happening.

maybe we should have gone with this one instead.

so now i've got bling and an urge to plan a party.

he liked it and put a ring on it! (sorry...toshi has been listening to a chipmunk version of that song.) so happy for you guys. the only way it could have been more perfect was if he would have proposed in the median with your lawn chair and low-rope-balancing friends. man... you're gonna be luke's wife! i love it when good people end up with good people. xoxo
