wrapping it up... (warning, luke heavy post)

now that we are well into january, its time for a recap of 2009:

lisa came up to celebrate new years. i danced all night. i fell down stairs. i stepped ut of my closet and broke my foot. lisa and kristel did not believe me. the xrays dont lie. i got a cast.


i finally made plans to hang out with luke. we both canceled the plans we had later that evening. we got drunk. we ate sushi. we played pool (with a broken foot- he let me win). it turns out that was our first date.

i celebrated a year at my job.

luke bought a house. then luke went to wichita. i moved into said house while luke was in wichita. now we live together.


i got very sick while i was moving into the house but lisa and i had plans to go to hawaii. i went to hawaii with lisa whilst very sick. we rode the pineapple express and got lost in pineapple mazes. i got burned. lisa was already tan.


we went to alaska. adam and jocelyn (lukes brother and soon to be sister in law (at the time; they are now married- see below)) came too. we camped. we saw bears. it was always sunny. that was weird.


i turned 29. i got a surprise dinner in my honor. and flowers. and cake. and a cake stand. and some lotion. it was a banner year.

luke turned 30. we went to lopez. most of his friends came. we saw whales. we swam in the sound to celebrate. it was cold. very cold.


adam and jocelyn moved in with us. they became "the neighbors."
my parents came to visit. i think it was to be sure i wasnt dating an axe murderer (see our first picture above). i think they are convinced.

we went to st john. adam and jocelyn got married. it was all gorgeous. i didnt get burned. i didnt get tan either. i did get drunk.


we went to the florida keys. i met lukes entire family. his grandmother thinks i need a tan. shes pale too. i caught my first fish. i also caught my second, third, and fourth fish. then i lost count. i did not get tan here either.



luke cut his finger new years eve. we ended up in the er. so its cyclical. man, im gonna be PISSED if he meets somebody.
