last night my mom and i were talking about facebook. she wants to be my friend. i said no. so then she goes on to tell me that she is friends with HER friend's 15 year old daughter who had recently posted a status update about being drunk. she was having a moral dilemma.
"i always thought she was a wise kid," she tells me.
"well mom, i made good-ish decisions all my life, but i still drank as a teenager."
*gasp*
"well," she says, "i really only worried about you using drugs and having unprotected sex. you arent having unprotected sex now are you?"
i offered up that i tried pot towards the end of high school but didnt develop a love affair with it until college.
"i like pot," she proclaims.
"i thought i was going to smoke with you in vegas, since suzanne [her pothead best friend] was coming," i admitted.
"oh, i got stoned with suzanne last week in miami."
*gasp*
"your dad doesnt know."
